Music Created From Inside the Sport
RG Music was created for coaches and athletes who need more than generic performance music. Every track is shaped with an understanding of rhythmic gymnastics timing, choreography, apparatus work, expression, and competition pressure.
Created by Kate Konovalova, Elite Rhythmic Gymnast, Coach and Choreographer
RG Music was created by Kate Konovalova, a former elite rhythmic gymnast, coach, and choreographer who has spent most of her life inside the sport.
Kate began rhythmic gymnastics in Russia at the age of four and trained competitively for 15 years. She holds the title of Master of Sports, is a former member of the Russian national team, and is a three-time Moscow champion. Her athletic career included years of intensive training, camps, and national and international competitions.
Kate holds degrees in Sports, specializing in Rhythmic Gymnastics Coaching, and Business Management. She is certified by USA Gymnastics in Instruction, Safety & Risk Management, and SafeSport, and is AHA-certified in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, AED, and Asthma Care.
Kate has been coaching rhythmic gymnastics since 2018. Now based in Silicon Valley, California, she serves as Head Coach at Bravo Rhythmic Gymnastics, working with junior and elite-level athletes.
Her coaching combines strong fundamentals and apparatus technique with a particular focus on artistry, choreography, musical interpretation, and the connection between music and movement.
Over years of developing competition routines, Kate has worked closely with music as part of the choreographic process — selecting tracks, defining the character of a performance, identifying musical accents and dynamic changes, and translating them into body movement and apparatus work.
From the Carpet to RG Music
This experience became the foundation for RG Music.
RG Music was built around a simple idea:
“Music in rhythmic gymnastics should not simply accompany a routine. It should help shape it.”
A strong competition track creates character, supports choreography, provides opportunities for apparatus work, highlights important moments, and helps an athlete communicate emotion on the carpet.
That is why RG Music approaches competition music from inside the sport.
Original compositions are developed with rhythmic gymnastics in mind — with attention to character, musical structure, phrasing, accents, dynamic contrast, development, and competition timing.
The goal is not simply to create music that sounds beautiful.
It is to create music that works with movement.
For Kate, RG Music is a natural continuation of her journey from athlete to coach and choreographer — bringing together music, movement, apparatus, and character to help create routines that feel like one complete composition.
